    Anybody here fish Enid?

I recently aquired a place at water valley landing and I might do a little fishing there next year. My dad gave me the place when he bought the house next door but he is not a bass fisherman and neither are his neighbors , they all fish for crappie.

The main thing I was looking for was when does the lake come up , I was down there this week and it was LOW but I was told it gets like that every year and will come back up. Also when does the fishing get good there and what size is the norm for the lake.

I am not asking for your favorite spot or bait but just a general idea of what to expect when I go back in the spring. And will be down there every few weeks to mow the grass and hate to pull the boat if it is going to be the dead sea.

Like all the lakes up and down the Highway 55, Enid is a Flood Control Lake. Will get that low every year if the Core has their way. Water should begin coming back up in Feburary or March but that also has a lot to do with mother nature and the amount of rains we are getting.

The Bass fishing at Enid this past year was the best I have heard in several years. This next year should be no different. Soft plastics and jigs pitched around any visable cover up and down the creek channels and out on the flats should get you bit. If that does not work, try a spinner bait and shallow crank in some of the same areas.

    Good Luck

Why yes I have a boat and I appreciate you offering to take me and show me around and I will probably take you up on that. Shallow crankin.........man I hate that.

I did look around and saw alot of great cover and really need to take a gps and mark a few things and take a few pics.

I live in Water Valley and would be glad to help you anyway that I can. Enid is a great lake when we have water in it.
