Any Freedom Boat Club members here.

Got out today on The Florida Harris chain with a guy who is a member of Freedom Boat Club. We had a new Bennington Pontoon that was really nice. Did some research on the club membership costs and dues. Curious if anyone here is a member and would post comments good or bad.

    Thanks.

It’s a great concept and works really well if you can use the boats durning the week. Weekends get busy.

My mom and stepdad are members. I go with them when I can. For their situation it's a great deal.

Have a friend who is a member and gone with him. Seems awesome. If I didn’t have a boat, I would join. Show up, hop in boat, enjoy, report any issues, pull into dock, deck hands tie it up, check gas and charge card on file. Get in truck and go home. They have offshore boats, bay boats, pontoon, ski. 1/2 cost of ownership and no headaches or commitment. But something tingly about having your boat in the driveway

That was pretty much my impression of it. They had everything from 16 foot Bass Trackers to 26 foot pontoon boats.

It’s expensive up front to join, about $7,000 one time fee, and then $400/month. That said, it can definitely be right for certain people. It is definitely easy and you don’t have to worry about anything. It’s not the best for fishing because you can’t use the boats before daylight or after dark and they don’t have trolling motors. It is pretty nice if you go out of town that you can use a boat at different locations.
