200 HO Dead in the water-advice?

I had my 2006 E200DXSDS 200HP HO Serial# 05118655 down in Kentucky to Lake Dale Hollow, warmed up doing about 4000 rpm and it started losing rpm's. Had our friends on board and I was bragging about the "E-TEC". Went down to a very rough idle and finally died and would not restart. Cranks slowly like and tight engine. Always XD-1oo on the XD-100 setting and I baby it and never ran wide open more than a few minutes at a time. Drove back to NW Indiana ($500 gas round trip) and called all the local dealers and was told that it would be 2-3 weeks before they would even look at it. I called BRP customer service and they said that they have no control over any warrantty work-what??? MY QUESTIONS:
Does anyone have an idea what happened?
After spending almost $15,000 on an engine, is 2-3 weeks plus repair time normal?
It does appear that I have been had. Extremely expensive, unreliable engine, not what I had expected.

2 - 3 weeks seems pretty normal. All the repair shops in my area are the same way, they are busy this time of year so it takes awhile to get in.

Have you checked to see if the gearcase could be the problem?
Remove one of the drain plugs slowly and see what comes out.

This 2-3 weeks, was this from your selling dealer?

I will check the gearcase. We have moved and the selling dealer is 250 miles away.

That is the reason for the two week wait, most dealers service their customers first.

I checked the gearcase-no shavings and fluid was clean and not milky. Any ideas?

While in for service, should I have them set the oil settings for TCW-3 (xd-50) and continue to use XD-100?

Are there any updates I need?

    Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think while in the shop it will get the right oil setting while on the computer, but you need tcwIII setting and run the xd-100 oil. I'll defer to tha gurus for any updates.
