The purpose of this new accessory is to keep those cables from finding their way under the trolling motor and getting cut in half.
Whether it’s a $1500 Livescope transducer cable or any other external cable, this will protect it from getting pinched or sliced between the Ultrex and it’s base.

Mine's made out of white cutting board. Definitely NOT cool looking, but keeping the cord from getting cut IS cool. Good design.
