Fished Paris Landing mon. and tues. Caught a ton of fish. Had a 5.5-6 off a ledge with a SK series 6 in sexy shad., a 3.5 off a drop with a SK sexy spoon, a 3.5 smallmouth off a drop on a carolina rig, 2 - 3 lbers off the marina slips pitching a baby brush hog. Figuring my best 5 would have weighed 17-18 lbs (all weights est.) Fished til lunch on tues. and fished drop and had 2 -3.5 lbers 2 casts apart of a carolina rig and thought I had finally found a good school. Then proceeded to wade through 10-12 dinks for the next 30-45 minutes without another keeper. I caught probably 50-60 fish in all for both days- lots of 12-13". Lots of the pros sitting on spots I wanted to fish but had a good time. Seemed like I caught fish on everything I had tied on - carolina rig, brush hog, SK red eye, Series 5 and Series 6 SK crankbaits, spoon, late in the evening on Monday on buzzbait, jig, and pop r in the backs of a creek.
Headed to Pickwick for a little family getaway this weekend - from Thursday ngiht through Sunday. I rarely fish Pickwick so if anyone has any help I would appreciate it. This is not a serious fishing trip - just one with my wife and daughter to get on the lake. I will probably only get a couple of hours early on Fri and Sat to really fish.
