Last time I had boat out three weeks ago all was fine with the engine............which is the norm. Pulled boat out of shop yesterday and put on muffs to start and let run for a tad. When turned key on the systemcheck gauge cycled through and check engine light light stays on and horn sounds for about 15 seconds and then goes away, but the light stays on. Killed engine and restarted and same thing again. Primer bulb is firm and so is oil bulb...............no fuel restriction that I am aware of at all. Gauge is original that came on boat in 96.........................reckon it is time for a new tach and systemcheck monitor......................I pulled the connection off of the back of the tach and put some vasoline around the contacts, plugged back up and same results..................Is there something else I might check before I order one of the new systemcheck tachs?...........they are pricey.
