New to Evinirude

Hi, I have recently bought a new to me Ranger 620vs with an '03 225 Ficht. I live in Alberta Canada and brought the boat up from ND. I was wondering if someone could run the serial no. and let me know some of the history. From reading this forum I have already picked up valuable info. FYI I just picked up 2-1 gallon(4 litres) jugs of xd-100 @ $63.00 a piece, ouch! Hopefully the motor will appreciate it. I formerly owned a '98 viper coral w/ a Mariner 200 on it and really valued this site and its expertise, looks like the Evinrude forum is no different. Any problems with this year and model? Check your serial number on the motor tag port side, the number you posted is not the serial number.

Sorry, I was going off of the insurance info. Serial # 05031646, Model #225FHLSTA

Looks like it had a trim unit replaced.

Thanks, that doesn't sound like a big deal. Has this model been a solid one as a rule?

Good solid motor, do not turn it over 5800, use a BRP oil and service it regularly, it will give you many years of service.

I have 130+ hours on my 03, most of it on xd-100 oil and she is swaeeeeeetttt!!!
