I am a big fan of weedless texas rigged plastics weather it be weightless or with a bullet weight. I also like throwing spinnerbaits, and topwater.

I love to Texas Rig! Also love Sweet Beavers, cranking and Swim Baits (more out of state on Swim Baits).

Very true, what I usually use my spinnerbaits for. Maybe I'll give the spinnerbaits a rest for awhile and start throwing some cranks.
I am stuck on plastics.Drop shot, beavers, brush hogs. And the last couple years I have been flipping weeds. In the spring I throw the lip lees baits.

Just give me my plastics, and I'm a happy boy.![]()
Love to throw crank baits as my first choice, but also always have a Texas Rigged worm on the deck as well.
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.
Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.
Cranks and spinnerbaits. Plastics too, but I have GOT to learn patience to work with them (I tend too often to like to cover water).

T Rigs, shallow and lipless cranks.
Just give me a 1/4 oz jig and smally beaver...if that doesn't work give me a 1/4 oz jig and a smally beaver
Crankbaits, small jig and shakey head worm. I will try to force feed those to bass when nothing else is working. If a frog bite is on, that is definitely a good thing. Oh yeah, cant leave out flippin plastics!
Thats the other thing, I want to work on using jigs...
I used to throw a T-rig 80% of the time. Now, I hardly ever throw one, I guess it just goes in phases. Right now, I love throwing a wacky rig of some sorts. I threw a flick shake for the first time down at Norfork a few weeks back and now I'll probably start throwing that a little more.
If we would ever get one of those long, hot, buggy summers you can't beat the frog bite.
T-Rig a Senko using a 1/8 ounce tungsten weight, or a square lipped shallow crankbait are my fav's to produce bass in IL.
Most fun? Topwater buzzbait. After all, the buzzbait originated in IL (So. Ill. to be exact). Ive had good luck on frogs as well, but it has to be the right time of year.

I love using senko's but I always rigged them weightless, If I am going to weight something I will use a trick worm or a SK super finesse worm...
For the people that use drop shots...
Have you ever thought about rigging it with a shacky head for the weight instead of the regular dropshot weight? That way you have two presentations instead of one? If you have, how well has it worked for ya.
Bwell , one of my favorite presentations is a spot remover with a black/blue flk senko .. u can skip docks or take it to the points and ledges ... it's a ton of fun .

My favorite is a Texas rigged worm with a 3/8 ozs tungsten weight and a Mustad Ultra point hook in 3/0-5/0 size. Worm length tells me how big the hook. My second favorite is a Fitzwater football head jig with rattles and 3/8 ozs. Then I get into Bomber model "A" or Bandit 200 crank baits. I also throw top water first thing in the morning or overcast days, but what I throw depends on the the water. i.e. buzz bait, spooks, pop r 's, and frogs.
