When it goes into safe mode will it feel like I just pulled back on the throttle. Then go again as soon as I give it gas until I hit 4900 rpms again? Maybe the rev limiter?

No warning horn. No smart craft. Hate to half to do that on a pontoon boat but might have too.
lt acts like I just back off the throttle when it happens. Motor was just serviced with water pump...

Motor reaches 4800 rpms runs fine.
Motor drops to close to idle at 4900 .
Motor is on a new to me pontoon.
Has a great hole shot and purrs.

Facts on BBC says 20 ft lbs. which should I use? The bolts are black. Thank you

I used a screw driver to pry up slightly on all four corners.
Probably not the right way to go at it but i was not using it again.
Would not budge otherwise.
