Thanks. I ended up using a 2.25" RAM mount with some hard rubber bushings to offset the contour of the console.
Even measured to the ground lug on the brain box. Still measured 11V to ground when the ACC was switched off. I'm guessing there's a crossed wire somewhere. I'm going to run a hot and ground direct...
Thanks. I grabbed on of the loose black wires from with the blue connectors from the harness. I think that I will keep looking for a better ground.

I have read that there are circuit breakers rather than fuses on a 2005 Z21. Is that correct? Where is the fuse panel located? Does anyone have a picture and/or a layout for it?
