Yep. GMC flushed mine at 20K miles under warranty when it developed a shudder. Now has has 48K on it and the shudder has not returned.

This ^^^. I move the xdcr up one click above the recommended position and find it helps a lot. You may lose a bit of the angle behind the xdcr but you're not fishing back there. Still plenty of down...

No. The only benefit I derived from calibrating is a beam directional icon on the screen that has to be recalibrated with every deployment or change from perspective to forward and visa versa
