Thanks everyone. I appreciate your help!!
That's sure good to hear!
After I made the posting, I found all the other threads and read through them all and started to realize that mine is working normally.
It still seems to me that the...

For some reason, the water temperature in my Optimax seems to drop rapidly as soon as I go faster than idle speed.
Here are some numbers I captured today.

I ordered the parts from European Marine. I was glad to see that they offer the ability to order online now.
The water pressure seems to be within specs, but kinda on the low end. At a high idle (900 or so) sometimes it still shows about 1 lbs. of water pressure. At WOT it barely hits 12 lbs.
I just...
I took it out for a test drive after re-installing the thermostats and it ran great for a while, but eventually the temp started rising up to around 190 while at a fast idle. It looks to me like the...
The overheating is happening while idling in gear. I pulled both thermostats and tested them on the stove. They seem to open consistently by the time they reach 150 degrees.
I think I figured out a few things this afternoon. I pulled out the remote oil tank and found that it has no wires going to it and no sensor.
Therefore, the fault code 3) Oil level sensor in the...
I blocked the codes 1,2,4 from above because I don't think I have the sensors for those.
I am still getting the 3rd code from my original post 3) Oil level sensor in the oil tank is not working...

I just installed the Vessel View mobile module and have a few questions.
As soon as I connected the app to the module, It advised me I have 6 fault codes.

Problem fixed..... I replaced the timing ring and the motor started, but 3 cylinders on one side were not firing. I ohmed the brown and brown/yellow leads from the stator and found one side was OK,...
Did you find one? I have one in Texas.
Here's the latest....I replaced the stator, but it still does not have a spark at any cylinder.
I disconnected the kill wires plug and the stator to rectifier plug and it still does not have a...
Well, I thought there must be something wrong with mine or maybe I have just lost the ability to run a trolling motor.
I'm glad to see there are others with the same concerns with the foot pedal....
I'm glad you fixed it and sounds like you learned a lot about your motor in the process. I have a stator on order for mine and I hope it is the problem.
I had pretty much exactly the same symptoms...
Yes, I thought I had a fuel problem too because using the primer was the only way to get it to stay running after it was warm. I'm now thinking stator, timing ring or powerpack.
Did you get a chance...
Ok, I checked the orientation of that ring and it does not appear to have slipped. I'll probably go ahead and replace the stator. What do you think about the timing ring? What type of problem would a...
Yes, I removed the flywheel and the stator does have some melted insulation. Does that indicate it got hot and is no good?
Do the readings indicate the timing ring is bad too?
Well it seems like it's getting worse. Currently, the motor will not start and does not have a spark at any cylinder.
So I got out my ohm meter and went through the tests from CDI Electronics for...
PM sent.
I put some tubing on that pivot pin and it looks like it should work fine.
The timer base does move, so I think it is OK.
I think the question now is what is the reason that cylinders 3 and 4...
OK, I cannot find anything wrong with the ignition switch. However, I was not able to duplicate the situation where it has no spark at any cylinder.
I ran it on the water again today and once...
Ok I have a new problem...
On a few instances, the motor has decided not to start and so I attached my timing light to see if there was a spark and could not get the timing light to show a spark...
Thanks! but it's not that big. Probably closer to 1/4 inch or 3/16.
