So to clarify. If I set it on 50, the screen will display 50 feet of info to either side of the boat even though the sonar waves will reach much further?
So if it is set on 50 feet is it capturing 50 feet out from the boat?
Is there an app for Mac computer and where would I get it?
I was once told that the sonor must travel down first and then out to sides. So if you are in 40ft of water and have it set on 50, you are only seeing 10ft out on each side. Is that correct?
On this image the fish can only be seen in water column straight under the boat. Why can no fish be seen out to the sides of the boat? Is their not enough contrast for the fish to stand out?
