I've had my Minn Kota Ulterra Quest trolling motor since October and I'm absolutely loving it. I tried Drift Mode for the first time today and it worked perfectly. The wind was at at 8 to 13 MPH and...

It really depends on the type of fishing you do, as well as your needs. My theory is that, if you can't find the fish, nothing else matters. When searching for structure and bottom "features", you...
I don't know if you were referencing my post but I have my Mega 360 connect to my Apex 13 at the helm. I have my Apex SI+ transom transducer connected to my Apex 19, also at the helm. I have my Minn...
I share the Mega 360 between my Apex 19, 16, and 13 and it works great. It is physically connected to my Apex 13 and I didn't use a Y Cable because I wanted to be able to get both my Apex SI image...
I have been a long time Onix, then Solix, and now Apex user. They are the evolution of a product Humminbird acquired. Although I love the touch screen and the operating system, it would be totally...
You only use it for Forward Mode to reduce surface reflection and double images. It will hurt you in Landscape and Down Modes because it cuts out a portion of the return.
Wait now... you said "I have reached out to Humminbird support with no response over the last month."
I've never known of Humminbird not being responsive. You may not get the answer you were...
36V is also more efficient than 24V in battery usage. You probably wouldn't need as many Amp Hours in the battery.
No way to bench test. Most issues are typically not with the transducer itself, but with the mount to the Hull. For older installations, it has probably come loose, and for new installations, you...
Thanks for sharing. So many people don't want to invest the time to really learn how to fine tune the Mega Live, but if you do, it works great. Maybe not as good as the LVS34, but I think better than...
I started to ask you about that. You are not the only person that has tripped up.
Please let us know what resolved the issue.
Hennessey does an excellent job and their techs know how to do it right. They should be able to get you squared away.
That still doesn't answer the question... there are multiple generations of the Ultrex. Which generation of Ultrex are you wanting to compare the Ultrex Quest to?
So, with the newest generation of Minn Kota bow mount motors, there is an Ultrex Quest (brushless) and an Ultrex non-Quest (brushed). I doubt that anybody has any experience with both of these new...
Yeah, I have to use slot 2 for my VX Card as well, but just thought it was a quirk with my unit. Haven't had any issues with sharing the card to my other two Apex units though.
No other issues I'm aware of. I haven't seen any VX Chip issues, so not sure what that is. My Apex units seem picky about how I insert any card, VX included, but that has been an issue since day 1...
Water temp not displaying on Solix and Apex is a known network issue from the last update... I reported it to humminbird.
The workaround is to go to the Network/Data Sources, make another...
Always open to learning something new! Thanks for the clarification.
Just make sure you have the same waypoint formats on both units... there are 3 different GPS Formats for waypoint data.
Waypoints are totally separate from chart cards. They are saved in memory on Humminbird units and are displayed as an overlay on whatever chart card you are using. The chart cards will have overlay...
The Mega 360 has two separate imaging piezos. Each fills one half of the screen as it sweeps. Not sure what you mean by "the image will not stay on the screen" but if 1/2 of the screen looks correct...
The answer is yes, but exactly how you do it varies with the brand and model of motor. If you don't have a NMEA 2000 backbone already, you will need to add that, as I think all the solutions go...
If you haven't downloaded the One-Boat-Network Operations Guide, it is available on the Humminbird/Support/Manuals site. It also has information on transferring waypoints.
