I have 2003 250 ox66 that had rivets on the under side of the flywheel break off, they fell down on the pulsar coil causing a misfire like you described, replaced flywheel problem solved.

250 ox66 When you go to start it will backfire,missing on hole shot but runs fine after any help were to look would be helpful.
