I upgraded to AT2 from AT2. AT2 definitely has better range and slightly less screen delay than AT1. Targets are hotter, and find targets is easier by scanning around in forward view.
You can, though there is a known issue when selecting single frequency with the Airmar causing the DownScan to freeze. Lowrance is well aware if the issue, but no fix is pending.
I’d asked that very question about custom frequencies for the TM165 HW a few years ago. The consensus was that there isn’t a sweet spot for the TM165HW at a given frequency. I think it was Team...
I tried with my Live-7, the HD 2-in-1 did not produce an image. It only worked with my HDS Pro-10
Is the correct transducer selected in the menu? That almost sounds like it’s not recognizing the ducer.
I’m running the HD 2-in-1. SideScan is nice, but gets a blast of interference from the Airmar TM150M on the right beam. DownScan is weirdly pixelated in shallow regardless of frequency, but...
Make sure you have the right ducer selected in the settings menu.
I have major artifacts on the right side of my SideScan with HD 2-in-1 while the Airmar TM150M is running.
The 2-in-1 was my workaround too. Having a 3-in-1 prior resulted in a bunch of incompatible frequencies being listed as options for the TM150M.
I found AT2 to have better range, hotter returns, and better stitching. But it’s buggy as hell.
Before making a purchase, I’d email Lowrance customer service and ask if there’s a software patch...
I’m close to doing the same. Lowrance hasn’t put out a software update since Napoleon was a cadet. They’ve had nothing but time, and no results to show for it.
I emailed Lowrance customer service and got a reply today. The reply states Lowrance was working on a software update that will be released soon, “hopefully by the end of the month.”
I’m not...
I’ve used the TM150M a lot. 105 kHz is definitely the sweet spot. CHIRP is really only good for deep water IMO. Shallow water there’s little to no benefit. In depths of over 35 feet, CHIRP seems...
I upgraded to a Pro and AT2. The AT2 was flawless with my old Live-9. With the Pro it’s buggy as hell. Every time I’d change the down or forward range it would freeze up. The only way to unfreeze...
When will the HDS Pro ones be available? Looking for one for an HDS-10.
Got it figured out. I was using the old AT power cord. While identical, I had the blue accessory wire hooked up. AT2 instructions say do not use the blue wire unless using dual view systems. ...
Testing out my AT2 today, I think I may have a dud. I’ve gone through the no-source workarounds and I still can’t get an image to display with a sonar array. All indicator lights on module are lit,...
If he set up a custom pane and accidentally pick two panes for the same side, is one possibility.
From the video, on the HD it looks like they were able to get rid of that annoying lip across the first part of the bottom that 800 khz had.
I’m also looking forward to any improvements in DownScan. The AI ducers at 600 kHz DownScan were garbage for any bottom detail. Also, I wish they’d have compared 455 kHz HD CHIRP vs 455 AI...
IIRC there was an issue prior with the ducer not being recognized that was resolved via software update.
I’ll be going with the HD 2-in-1 and the Airmar TM150M. On that note, I wonder if the issue of DownScan being disabled when using the TM150M in fixed frequency along with the 3-in-1 has been...
RF chokes are dirt cheap. Just buy a bulk pack from Amazon.
The Elite Ti’s were notorious for grounding issues with the touch screen, though I never had this issue with other units like Lives. Touch the negative post of the battery or one of the unused NMEA...
