Protect it the same way you protect/wash/wax/polish etc your vehicles. I tie mine off at the dock so that the rub rail touches the dock and not the painted areas.
That would require the caliper to be removed from the axle, and then use a C clamp to compress the piston back into the caliper.
Need to find out why they are sticking as they may need to be rebuilt...
I wouldn’t let the paint or gel coat make my decision personally, as long as I liked the colors either finish works. Purchased mine from 72 Marine.
I don’t have a favorite I’m good whatever team wins but I definitely believe this is a championship game of the best teams playing.
I have it on a VX21, seems to react the same as automobile paint, no better or worse. For the record, I do not fish in a lot of standing timber or brush that would touch the boat. If a rock hits it...
You may have sticking calipers versus the actuator sticking. The pressure may actually be released, but the caliper is not retracting far enough.
It goes into the shop vac with no filter, same as if you were vacuuming up water.
it does get gunk in it but I just clean it out when needed.
I have multiple shop vacs, one for liquids only.
Connect a reducer to the end of the shop vac hose, connect a crevice tool to the reducer. The opening in the crevice tool is about 3/8 x 1 inch,...
Since 2017, Dexter owns the Tie Down axle, brake, etc division.
I like my originals better, 4 years no issues, at least you still have a pole if one pump goes out but not so with this new design.
We have a 22 and 23 that both chimed with my old trailer, installed a new plug on the trailer and no issues since. These Fords are extremely sensitive electrically it seems.
I would choose a 24 foot Vexus with an 800 horsepower Yamaha so it would at least hit 75mph. And before you say they dont make those……
Well, as Sheriff Crabapple would say,”they should for those...
You are correct and I have done it this way too, until I learned to use the vacuum. No pumping the actuator nor waiting for bubbles to rise etc. Just pull new clean brake fluid thru the system till...

shop vac, 1/4” clear hose, 20 minutes. The 1/4” hose will fit snugly over the drain.
Put a small round wire wheel, one that will fit into the pole base, in a drill motor and push it to the bottom of the pole base hole and spin it as your pulling it back to the top. This will make a...
Its been almost 2 years, hopefully he found some by now.
Im not seeing anything to match perfectly at 83” but looks like they offered you a very fair price.
VX21 here, Merc 250, have a 23p 4 blade Trophy Plus, same top speed of 70mph as the Fury 23p 3 blade but handles much better and hole shot is great. Also have a 25p 5 blade High Five that I like even...
When we do a renovation, we do not demo until the replacements are stored in the garage or local storage unit that we control.
That way when we start we can finish.
Check Nilight, they have a marine section. The 4” 60watt is what I have and they are 6 years old with no problems and very bright. Not a bad deal for $30 in my opinion.
Exactly!!!! Been using it by the cases for years in one grease gun, and will continue. Dont overthink it.
Its enough and Im not getting my monies worth, and Im old enough that I probably wont ever change to being an electronic fisherman. I still catch fish and more importantly relax and have fun. Have...
Get an adapter for the smaller pole and switch them. Then you can remove the pole and set the seat down in the deck hole and it wont blow out.
One thing I have witnessed, when these were new,
1987 F150 XLT 4x4 cost was $12k
1987 Stratos 18.5’ with Evinrude 150 cost was $10.5k
2003 F250 4x4 ccsb lariat diesel cost was $39k
2003...
