Only 2 and it’s been awhile since it happened. Since retiring I’ve been knocking on the door pretty often. Two that were 9:15 last year, one on Santee and one on Big O. Been landing a few 9lb class...
LM- 10.2 Manns Grape Fire Tail. Lake Anna
SM- 6.10 Jerkbait. South Holston
Spot- 4.12 Jig. Boone Lake
Lots of 9’s caught but 2 that were 9.15 is as close as I’ve gotten in years. Trying hard tho
Got mine. Already weighed 22 fish on it. So far so good. Simple enough for me. The Locking in of weights for me seems to take a bit longer. Checked against known weights and it’s very accurate....
Wow!!! Congratulations… Beautiful brown bass!!!!
I also heard that it had been approved to be paved. In the same conversation it was shared that the other side of Kenansville Grade Road going to Kenansville Lake would be paved starting next year....
Guys. Guys. Dang I love this place! Bass fishermen have great and quick humor. It’s amazing really. Shared the boat with lots of people fishing and the talking back and forth makes my day usually....
Fitzgerald Mega Bag. 5 years and no leaks along with the zipper still working as intended. Not cheap but it’s the best I’ve owned.
I’m a frog fishing addict. Straight braid.. the marker is a confidence thing for me. I think it might get me just one more big bite so I color 3 or 4 feet above the frog.
Heck yeah I do… I’ve been chasing bass all my life. I’ve caught more than my share of good fish. I’ve been retired going on 7 years and fish almost every day. The last month on the Big O has been...
I’ll second the Iguana recommendation. Totally pleased with mine.
I used them this spring on Santee. Schooling fish , on herring or shad. Caught them pretty decent.
Yes. One of the first things my dealer did after the Power Pole install. I love the dang thing. I hit my head twice and called my dealer.
First one for them on a 198 but that’s been a few years.
It is possible to catch them on jugs, limb lines as well as trot lines. We caught several out of the Clinch River when I was a teenager. We baited with mostly suckers, chubs and assorted minnows. The...
Just got back Monday and fished 5 days there. The first 2 days were brutally hard. The bass were definitely pre spawn where we fished. Last 2 days were decent with 18 and 22 fish. No giants this trip...
Coming from Okeechobee. Probably 441 but open to options. Just thought there might be something close to the lake I couldn’t find.
I just like to fish new lakes to break up fishing Chobee and the...
Wanting to do a 3 day trip to Orange. Checking places to stay and there isn’t anything close to there. Anyone got a idea or recommendation. Any help greatly appreciated
Bitters Baits. Bulk packs for the win
Steve is a good guy for sure…
IMO the question was well answered by the previous posters. Headwaters was amazing when it opened to say the least.
I won’t even go now. It’s a zoo. The fish are still there but pressure has hurt it...
Call Mike Krause at Fishing Headquarters in Okeechobee. I’ve seen some of his electrical work and it was top notch.
He might not do those installs but I’m sure he can point you in the right direction
Sand bottoms, rock piles and shell bars can all be fished with wobble heads with success. Just have to throw them to check how dirty the bottom is.
Anywhere there are Mayan Cichlids the red baits...
Usually never. But, cold fronts with North winds make them nonproductive. Frogs are a confidence lure for me and I throw them year around
Been there twice. It’s no fun. The ones like sand pass fairly quickly, but still painful. Bigger ones if they stop up your flow completely out of your bladder are brutal. Dang, I’m having flashbacks....
I’m jealous. One of my favorite things to do, go after reds. I love a big bull redfish.
Only eaten some little ones a couple of times. They were very fine dining.
