Just like a couple guys has said above, when throwing a spinning rod, you have to go braid to leader. You’re going to continue to fight line twists and have line management issues as long as you stay...
They went away with US made rods back around 2018/19. The Cara T7’s were the last ones being made here and they kept raising the prices there at the end and were getting harder and harder to get...
Congrats, man. I was out there fishing as a co. Did you fish in the clear water or stained/muddy water?
Broken Bow
Zoom finesse worm or trick worm. You can keep experimenting and try every worm under the sun, but those two have always caught em and always will
I throw those as well. You guys mostly keep it simple and just throw chrome?
You use a ball bearing swivel?
Going to start playing with spoons a little more. Will be throwing a 1/2 or 3/4 Cotton Cordell jigging spoon the most. Which swivel do you guys like and what size for 1/2 or 3/4 spoons that come...
I PM’d you
Looking for boater link for the open on Eufaula next June
6:1 for all cranking for me. Only time that changes is in the winter when water temp drops below 50, I use 5:1
Alpha Angler Top Hammer is a good one
The IKOS line of rods aren’t made in the US. Not 100 percent on this, but I think Fitzgerald used to be made here in US, but they went away with that awhile ago
Falcon went away with US made rods 3-4 years ago. The Cara T7’s were the last ones. All China rods now
Anybody been on Tenkiller lately? Is the high water ramp on Snake still open?
Thanks, guys. I tried the state park Sunday morning and they had the ramp closed
Any ramps open on Tenkiller with this high water?
Sent you a pm. I’ll link with you
Looking for a boater link for all of the Okie BFL’s
It’s a Yum Tip Toad that comes on the War Eagle. Used to come with a Zoom Horny Toad before Pradco bought out War Eagle. If you’re catching them on the Tip Toad, there’s no need to change. You can’t...
Hard to beat Black, Green Pumpkin, and Watermelon Red. Those three will have you covered anywhere you go no matter the water color
Always with fluoro. Unless you’re throwing a spinning rod, I’d go braid to fluoro leader. I’ve done well Texas rigging them with light weights like an 1/8 or 3/16 and dragging them around or pitching...
Going to hit Wister for the first time tomorrow. I know lakes will be packed cause of the 4th, but going anyway. Any hazards on the lake? And any basic tips? Thanks
Quillback - It’ll be two weeks before I’m back in Arkansas so you didn’t see me. We might make the trip up there, but I’ll be around the end of the month
