Another guy credited his Grandma with funding his career for several years…Mike Reynolds, maybe?
There’s a ton of guys who are “journeymen”, looking at standings over the years you see familiar names keep popping up. They find the money from somewhere to keep fishing.
I’m getting ready to turn 63, remember seeing these in South Carolina when I was a kid.
It might work. I caught a lot of fish on the clear/silver insert baits, set them aside when they turned white inside. Maybe I made a mistake, if I kept using them might’ve kept catching them.
Did it used to be clear with a silver flash inside?
If so, Bomber used to make that color. I used some back in the 80’s-early 90’s, loved the color, but quit using them because they turned white...
At least three boats fished that specific area yesterday, at times close enough to each other to underhand toss a bag of chips from boat to boat.
They aren’t fishing a secret spot. They aren’t...
You’re exactly right. Not sure why it’s being discussed so much.
Only thing I find odd is the area isn’t marked no wake, is it actually a no wake zone? Or did BASS make it no wake? And why?
That’s pretty cool, I believe I remember him.
Not sure those fish will hold out, Sumrall, Johnston and Arey were all fishing close enough to each other to toss a bag of chips from boat to boat.
I agree. Always scan the standings to see where Clunn and Kennedy finish every day.
I agree.
Saw a link on TFF, Drew Benton posted a whine showing him staring at a BASS pamphlet questioning McKinney fishing a lock area.
Apparently John Cox was complaining about McKinney...
Which Booyah are you using? The regular one, or the bigger one?
Ok.
Not sure what that has to do with the conversation, or if that gives any weight to his opinion.
Yes, please post your EBay site name when you get it running. And maybe talk to Al, get stickied on the sponsored sale page.
Will it be an option for you to make weedless hair jigs? Back in the...
Feider fished legal water, came in 81st.
McKinney also fished legal water, finished very high.
Feider has no more respect for the rules than McKinney.
He came in 81st. Maybe he needs to start asking about rules and stop whining.
I don’t agree with you on that, sorry.
I’ve heard some of the guys in that event are pissed because John Cox knew where some “hidden” areas were, areas of open water that couldn’t be seen from...
Why? They’re under no obligation to do that.
The TD is under no obligation to notify the entire tournament field.
McKinney followed the rules, and double checked with the TD. Good for him.
“Sketchy guys”?
Who?
Don’t make yourself “look silly”.
He cleared it with the TD, what’s your issue? What rule did he abuse? Please be very specific.
Elite guys aren’t innocent. How do you think double digit numbers of boats magically descend onto the same spots, when they aren’t supposed to be getting info?
As a soon to be 63 year old guy who has followed tournament fishing a long time, I’ve never heard of Terry Thomas. Lot of people have never heard of John Murray, but back in the day he was pretty...
Have to agree with you. At the time they were dominant, they stood out.
Now, to be fair, older guys won’t factor in nowadays. Guys like Brauer, Klein, or Parker won back in the day flipping or...
It’s gone on in B.A.S.S. for a long time, and still does. Tommy Biffle was territorial. JVD ran 80+ miles through a couple of locks to try moving in on Denny Brauer. As Jeff Hahn noted, at Santee OT...
With the start of this fishing season (mainly tournaments) we’ve been inundated with complaints from touring pros who feel left out because they didn’t put in the time to learn the technology.
