Don, thanks for the reply.
I will refer to it as the "Mercury Panel" from now on -- struggled trying to come up w/ a way to refer to it.
I definitely did make an instruments screen, like lpugh...
1) Actually do the registration
OR
2) After a few power ons a box is available to not show again.
Update:
Finally quit raining and I put the muffs on and started the engine.
Water pressure is available as a data source from the VVL gateway, and at idle w/ the muffs on was 3.5-4PSI. So this...
Yea, going to try that or maybe open a case w/ Lowrance.
That may end up being the route I go..maybe it’s a software error that Merc left it out of their app?
We covered that earlier on this thread (post 15), but it was a while ago…Cabelas
Sorry, I updated above, that’s what I’m on…
Said it before, but will again, I am doing all this with the engine not running. Because I haven’t put the boat in the water yet, and it won’t quit...
Lowrance all on 23.3-67.3.33 (latest from Lowrance.com)
VVL on 20.2.3-64.3.127 (latest from Merc.com)
These symptoms I’m describing appear on all three graphs. And last evening I just tried it...
Thanks Team C.
One note, not all engines support it, most newer stuff requires a Block Water Pressure sender be installed on the engine. Part is around $90 US.
The optimax’s came standard...
Hey all,
Have a thread going in Merc 4 Stroke Forum, but I’m beginning to think my issue is really more on the Lowrance side than the Merc One.
Here is the link to post 23 where my woes are...
Did the factory defaults on the VVL per post 28, and redid setup wizard, no change.
Yes, all of my HDS units have Helm 1, which I would expect, I only have one helm.
Each has a unique "Device ID" which is different and separate from the "Helm ID" and the instructions imply that...
Isn't ^^^^ what I showed, or are you refering to something else?
Is what I showed in the 2nd-4th screen shot I shared above what you are referring to? I read that section and that is what I was attempting to do...perhaps I didn't do correctly? Please advise.
...
I think so, here is a screen shot:

But, I'm not given a choice of the Water Pressure when the in the Mercury Screen. Here is the sequence I used to try to add it:
Started at this screen:...
Reviving this tread.
I finally got the VVL and my new Lowrance HDS Live 7 installed. Let's Review:
Before this install, I had:
Merc 150 4s, S/N 2B181067, with installed block water...
FWIW, I just warrantied a 46 month old X2 (Northstar) GRP 31.
Always charged it w/ my DualPro 15A Charger immediately upon return from any day on the water.
Guy at Batteries Plus said it was...
If you have these two units networked w/ ethernet, you probably should stay up at these latest software levels...having the Carbon way back at 18.x and the Pro at 23.3 might cause some networking...
Great News!
The NEMA-0183 output is on the Power Cord, so it was likely hardwired to your Speedometer.
Give it a shot and let us know how you come out...
yes, that would do it. You likely have SC-1000 System Tach and Speedo, based on your description.
You probably need to ensure NEMA-0183 is enabled on your new Lowrance...
4800 Baud, 1 Stop Bit,...
While I agree w/ you that Brunswick doesn't manufacture the oil, they do specify the base oil, additives, viscosity, etc...and have come to engineer it based on what they know about their engines. ...
Oh, Don, you better provide a disclaimer when giving this kind of advice:
CAUTION, OIL MAY BE HOT!
Thought this was a funny on April Fools day!
I figured it was that he started working on Volvo powered sterndrives I/O's, or maybe that Ferarri version
In all seriousness, cool story Don.
