i discovered fried yellow stator wires during the inspection, so i swapped out the stator, rectifier & both switch boxes.

Update:

Couldnt replicate the "engine running after key off" in the garage, even after a long warm up.

I went ahead & swapped out stator; due to charred yellow wires, rectifier & switch boxes....
