I use the smallest reel I can get by with. Usually a 1500 size or similar. This help me alot with the reel bothering my fingers. The heaviest line I'm using on bass spinning gear is usually 15lb...

3.5 lbs is a pretty decent trigger for a handgun. The lightest I have on a handgun is my Ruger Mark II Target. It's around 1.5 lbs.
