Not sure which is better in general……but I would position the bunks where Triton had them placed…..because their engineers designed & laid up the hull.

Use flat washers…..pressure treated lumber & lock washers are a poor combination. I tried silicone on my last set of bunks but ended up using a sima construction sealant when a couple lag bolts...

Gold series hubs have the tapped oil fill hole….vault hubs are the same hub w/out that hole.

Gold series bearing covers with the amber sight glass/ piston are identical to the vault bearing covers...

I stand corrected….I have an standard Opti and erred by assuming the Opti Pro XS had limit if 6000.

That being said, a good 200 Opti Pro XS should easily turn a 26P tempest plus to the limiter.

Trimlok is the brand of trim seal that Triton sold me. Many others make the same seals.

Measure carefully…..because if it is too tall your rear hatches will tear the bulb off the trimlok portion.
