I am also in the Ancor Marine corner. I redid my entire boat (floor, carpet, pumps, added a re-circ pump and timer, wiring, lights, stereo system, blue seas fuse boxes, switches, electronics, lithium...
Anyone who really understands Ohms Law would NOT suggest a fuse 20% higher than what is recommended.
All I know is, I wouldn't want someone working on anything I owned that suggests putting a...

If you think electronics/electronic components don't fail you are sadly mistaken. I deal with it on the daily.
Actually I am an electrician/electronics tech. Have worked on everything from 138,000 KV all the way down to computers, boards, etc. Not sure what that has to do with anything.
Shorts aren't the only thing that fuses are used for. What happens if an internal component (capacitor, resistor, ic chip, etc) within a piece of equipment (in this case sonars) goes bad and the...
:thumb up2: It amazes me that some people give advice when they have absolutely no concept or understanding of ohms law. No way in hell I would put a bigger fuse in. That's just asking for trouble.

I have a minn kota terrova, and have tried a homemade pole, and also one from dbl seat. Both were cumbersome and took up too much room. I then bought a livescanner, but again it didn't work quite the...

Here are the butt connectors I use made by ancor. Made for the marine industry and heat shrinked:...
Strip about an inch and a half of insulation off your smaller wire. Bend the stripped bare wire in half, then in half again. Should end up with just enough to go into the butt connector. I used Ancor...
You can't use a card larger than 32 gb's.

According to this, the exact size of the die needed is an M10 x 1.25
Glad you got it back together. Doesn't take much for them to come out, or be put back in.
Mine took 9 weeks and 2 days to get here. I was getting impatient, but in the end it was well worth the wait. This thing is built like a tank and works well with my minn kota terrova. I am glad I got...
I am assuming you mean the Livescanner Pro, beacuse I have never heard of a livescope pro? If so, I have the Elite True Scan, but I would think the cable lengths would be the same for the Elite and...
Looks like the grommet just needs put back down in the hole. Push the grommet back down into the hole until that first groove up from where the wires go into the grommet seets the entire way around.
It wouldn't help unless you have Garmin VHF radios that need updated on your network. From what was said, all other software is the same on both updates. I hadn't updated my two 1042's with the...
There were some missing VHF drivers in the 04-07 update.
I did not get the pro, I got the Elite with True Scan.
Here are my pro's n con's of why I went with the True Scan:
Pro's: Adjustable speed control (which is huge to me), lighted position arrow...
Like has been said, you will get alot of different opinons. I am running 2 LVS32's (one forward and one perspective), and with the new software update, it ROCKS. A buddy of mine is running the LVS34...
Talked to livescanner today and they told me my unit was shipping today. Will be here on saturday. Finally get to put the finishing touches on the boat. A 3 yr process is finally going to be done....
The transducer lays flat in perspective mode and requires a different mount.

BTW, the perspective mode mount comes with a sticker that you put on the...

I have two 1042's and am running the latest versions. GPSMap version 27.10 and GLS version 2.58. IMO, garmin finally got it right with this version for the LVS32.
The bottom of the perspective mode transducer is 2 inches above the top of the forward view transducer.
I am running two on same pole with no interference (both will be on my livescanner once it gets here). I am running two garmin 1042's each with their own LVS32 and black box. One for forward view and...
