Possible. Mine would check fine. Sometimes they would close enough and other times the engine would not warm up. Hated to spend that much for thermostats but it seems fine now
Mine started leaking to much and in cold water my opti would not warm up. Checked them and were clean. Wouldn’t do it every time but was getting worse. 2 bills later back in business. The sad part is...

Try loading your boat on your trailer on a steep ramp by yourself when you need to hook your strap. Not with a shot foot
Any transducer in the way. Mine was having water pressure problems until I moved my transducer. I unhooked it and tied it up to test. Found my problem. Moved transducer

89 is when ranger went to fiberglass transom. Had several 373 v boats and a couple 400’s. Like the original ranger look on the 300 series but the 400 series is a better boat
Be careful cutting the old sleeve off. I did mine and nicked the main wire shorting out my foot pedal. Lost spot lock. $800 dollar mistake.I was trying to be careful. Parts are expensive
I have a 98 518 dvs. My last boat. Does everything I want tandem trailer is nice. Mine runs 67 with a 200 opti. An efi will be slower but sufficient

Stay as close to max hp. I wouldn’t go less than a 200 on a 519
