1: Unbolt tank, flip upside down before disconnecting supply hose at bottom of tank (much easier with lower cowling off). You can then use the old tank's oil to fill the new tank.

Better provide the Serial Number for the engine, as 225's were 3L models, not 2.5L. Serial Number will be the accurate identifier.

More likely that you've got wires in the trigger HARNESS that are compromised/rotting.

Replace trigger, PERFORM A COMPLETE SYNC-N-LINK PROCEDURE, and see how it does.
