I have the same motor, the only time I've experienced anything like this was a restricted fuel line. If you have a harbor freight tools around they have an EFI fuel pressure test kit for cheap.

Just slung a blade on my 5yr old Fury 4 that was B&B'd. It's a shame when your prop investment goes from $1000 to $0.

I've been using the Halo HFX 6'10" M/XF casting rod with a Tatula 80 for Shaky head, Drop Shot and Neko, great rod for $150, uses Toray blanks.

Complete fuel injector and VST service. The fuel injectors are basically the lubrication system so they are critical.

That would be the only explanation, It's like a small standpipe. Sediment would accumulate on the floor of the tank below the level of the fitting.

Could it be an orifice restrictor meant to regulate oil flow through the remote tank hose? Maybe it migrated through the hose?

It didn't go bad but I replaced it along with bleed lines and checks a few years ago for piece of mind.
No remote fill, I have the oil tank in the rear...
