Shallow mount idea, anyone use the Precision Sonar smart brackets?

Hello fellow Raymarine users!

I just picked up a 12" Axiom for my console. Interested if anyone has ever used the Precision sonar Regular smart brackets to mount one? I ask as the bracket that came with puts the unit out pretty close to my hands.

Is there a difference between Lowrance and Garmin and Raymarine when it comes to those disc/lock areas?

I don't have enough experience with various manufacturers to tell.

Appreciate any input.

I have always used the Kong mounts.
