Re: Just alittle courtesy on the water (1outlaw)
If one has a concealed weapons permit and someone threats you would it be considered self defense? I hate when people do that! I m old school and always try and leave the use to be standard of 100 yards but now I date myself. Ya'll be safe out there and be blessed. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/USA1.gif

The thought was a quick passing 1 considering his very much older non boater had nothing to do with it. He turned his back and never said a word.
Re: Just alittle courtesy on the water (Stratos Steve)
With getting your concealed they tell you if itÂs not your dormitory castle and you can retreat you are not allowed to use deadly force. I'm sure popping off a round in the h2o would of changed his tone but what comes with doing that isnÂt worth it. I always pack my .45 on the water b/c you never know with some of these head cases today. just my .02
Re: Just alittle courtesy on the water (fcar28)
Just carry a water gun with berkly Gulp juice in it. When they get to close soak them. They will stink the rest of the day and probably the next.

That would probably be a bad nidea...as I'm sure you know if you have a Fl CCW. Brandishing is froiwned on bt DA's and they prosecute them..
Assault with a Deadly Weapon
Assault with a deadly weapon is technically termed "aggravated assault" under the Florida statutes. "Simple" assault is defined in the following manner:
An "assault" is an intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent.
If this threat is accompanied by the brandishing of a deadly weapon, a defendant who is convicted of this charge faces the penalties that accompany a third-degree felony. A third-degree felony can carry a prison term of up to five years.
I'd definately take him up on his offer to discuss http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif the issue at the ramp.
He might reconsider being a jerk the next time around...
Good luck,,
Jim

or if he was fishing a tourney I might consider calling the TD and filing a complaint about him threatening me with physical force almost all tournaments these days have some kind of rule about sportmanship...........sounds like a wussy way to handle it but its beats a police report and lawsuit
Re: Just alittle courtesy on the water (mikepags)
Im thinking about a paint ball gun and a few rounds of pink paint. Everyone would know who the offender was. Just a thought. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
