Eddie is on the mt Rushmore of rock guitarists. A pioneer. Ace freely is not in the top 100 all time in my opinion.
Ace couldn't even string Ed's guitar.
If not for the make-up / costumes / stage show we never would have heard of Kiss.

As a guitarist, Eddie stands head and shoulders above Ace. A better argument for Ace, might be who was the better showman.
