I'll put in a vote for Wedowee. I haven't been there since it first opened and probably won't catch anything, but at least I'll be getting beat at a different lake! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif Where would we launch, and are there any decent places to stay overnight?

I could be persuaded to go to Wedowee if the vote count were to pick up enough to beat out Jordan and someone can tell me where it is and where we'd launch. Also, are there any maps?
I am just wanting to go somewhere other than Jordan, Mitchell and Lay since those are the only places I have been able to fish the last three months. Would like a change of scenery and Logan Martin was a bit different. Been to Logan Martin once when it was 100+ and caught a catfish. Went back when it was 19- and caught a nice drum...would like to go there when the bass were biting http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
There are some decent maps available. It is also on the latest Navionics chip. IF you head north on 431 you will almost get there. In Wedowee take a left on 48.
This lake is a pretty long haul for me so I don't fish it often but the most used ramp is on the west side of the 48 bridge.
As for lodging, I have no idea about that. The town of Wedowee is not very big. I know Roanoke has at least one motel. It still about 20 minutes from the lake.

48 Bridge is the best place to launch at wedowee. Nowhere to really stay that I know of close by hotel wise!

Our club likes to use Lonnie Whites public launch no charge........ Just an idea

The name of the lake is actually Robert L.Harris,I got my lake map at Wally World,also Academy has them. I think the map actually says Wedowee though. I get there by taking hwy 431N from Opelika to Wedowee,then turn left on hwy 48 follow it to the 48 bridge,landing is on the right.
Do yall have a particular ramp you would like to add to your vote for Wedowee also for Logan Martin?
At one time the lake had a lot of standing timber. The timber was cut back some time ago although they cut beneath the surface during drawndown and during the drought. They left some standing timber in various places that you can see clearly. Rock it has rock there are rock bluffs and walls,and down river from 48 bridge are the remains of the old rock quarry they used to build the damn with. However that would be a good 10min run from 48 bridge to get to the old rock quarry,when you get a map look for fox creek and follow the creek out on the right side will be the rock quarry. From 48 bridge going back up river is what the locals call the big T, across the river from 48 bridge and just north a small distance is where the locals refer to as the little t river enters into the big t. Logan Martin i would say Lakeside if Wedowee you have 48 i like Lonnie Whites 48 to me is alaways full it does not matter.
