Yall have to live relatively close to this sad excuse of an american family. Talk about an embarrassment. I watched the documentary last night...."The Wonderful World of the Whites of West Virginia". All I can say is the human gene pool needs thinning out a little.....geez.

they could have picked a family like that from any of our great fifty states. i dont know hwhy the had to make such a deal of those people being from wv. im from near where all that was filmed and can tell you that you can find much worse here in indiana for sure.

The Whites are considered by most in this area to be a bit of a joke. Like WVBassmaster, I live in a neigboring county (Raleigh) and have to travel to Boone county where they live. Boone county is a bit socially isolated, to say the least. The Whites personify the absolute worst WV has to offer. They are a prime case study on what toll rural prescription pill abuse takes on the uneducated family, not just in WV, but all over rural america.

Wow! speechless. I saw the title of the show last night in the channel guide and thought the show is about nature. I wonder how the rest of the world view America once they get a hold of this fine documentary.

Jesco White aka "The Dancing Outlaw" has been a celebrity for some time. I remember he had a video or something out in the early 90's when the first PBS documentary was done on the family. He was a model airplane glue sniffer and gasoline huffer and Elvis wanna be.
