http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif But your wrong... Tom went 84.2 with that prop. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif His 30TXP is on the way and targeting 85+ since he has raised the motor up on the jackplate.
Re: Hey tmbullet (tmbullet)
Kinda makes you wonder if ya don't have mods you don't know about. Mine is a 2002 225EFI and I only hit 75+ with a 28 Bravo 1 at 5700. May be too high or over trimmed, but still......

Re: Hey tmbullet (RG-IN-NH)
Thats what Mike and I wondered but we took of the hood and nothing's been touched, when I got the boat and motor the ecu had 31.4 hours on it and I talked to the original owner and he never touched it. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/USA1.gif So I attribute it to just a good running motor... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Re: Hey tmbullet (tmbullet)
Congrats on those great speeds ....I have a 2002 21 XDC with a 2004 250 XS 1:75 TM with 14 inch manual rapidjack.. I have tried lots of props on it.. I got a best of 83.8 light load solo in the spring with a 29 hydromotive q4x-ob... I now have a 28 hydromotive q4x-ob on it for general use that keeps me off the limiter but I have not seen 83 with it yet... These props worked better than all others I tried but I have yet to try any TXPs on it... My boat came with a 2002 250 XB on it with a 26 trophy and it would not break 80 with that setup... You are getting better speeds with that 225 than I get with either of the 250s ... I am not new to high performance ... My brother and I build race engines and exhaust systems for champ 440 snowmobile teams ... We have been world champs in several classes and won the Eastern Pro-Tour Champ 440 championship in 2007 and Eagle River Wis. Vintage IFS 440 world champs in 2006 and 2007.. What I am trying to say is I have race experience and can usually get better than average results... Your results have been better than mine .... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Re: Hey tmbullet (canadablazer)
I don't know why my boat runs so good I do not have an answer, it just does. Mike and I looked the whole motor over with the hood off and not a bolt has been touched, I'm hoping for 85+ on sunday. Your pipes are awesome wish I knew about ya when I was racing motocross in the 40 plus pro class, but very nice,,,, http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Re: Hey tmbullet (tmbullet)
thanks.... hope you do get 85 +.. Are you using a manual jackplate ? I think I need a lot more engine height . The trophys , Tempests and Powertech tro4s I tried just slipped too much with anything higher than 1 inch below pad and I could easily hit the limiter with them with no speed ... (mid 70s) . I am still well off the limiter with the hydromotive 28 with the bowhigh and low slip ; so next spring I will try more height until I am on the limiter and see if I can get 85 as well... Maybe I will need a hydraulic plate to adjust on the fly... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif

Re: Hey tmbullet (canadablazer)
Yes I have a manual jack plate 14" set back when I ran 84.2 I was at 3/4 of and inch below with the 29 TXP-3 now I am a half inch below with a 30 TXP-3 so sunday will be the day I'm gonna try it. I will post the numbers sunday evening.. thanks Canada Blazer... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
Re: Hey tmbullet (tmbullet)
Good luck...Are you running a TM or a Sporty? What is your holeshot like ? I fish team tourneys with full fuel and lots of gear and find the hydromotives give me great holeshots I need , even with full livewells... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

you will be hard-pressed to beat a Hydro in any category http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif .........the Razor's by Mark are going to be the only thing that can rival them and they will be 1/2 the cost http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif
the Hydro's have proven to be one of the best IMHO after Mark tunes it to your rig..........the Bravo's can hang on holeshot, but not on top end http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Re: Hey tmbullet (tmbullet)
tmbullet--I had a 2003 225 EFI on my last boat that was as strong as a 250XB. I ran a 29" Yamaha T1 that was worked and still couldn't keep it off the limiter. I never touched a thing under the hood. If I had known what I know now, I would have put 1.62 gears under it.
Re: Hey tmbullet (canadablazer)
I have a torque master with 1.75 gears, I also am on the the limiter with the 29 pitch TXP-3 so were gonna see what happens with the 30 p TXP-3 , hoping the resuts are good. I'll post the #er's tomorrow evening.. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/praying.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Re: Hey tmbullet (tmbullet)
If you're pushing 85 and on the limiter, you might want to consider borrowing a Sportmaster with 1.62's and see what happens.
