The private lake were going to fish in a couple weeks got some hammers in it, maybe he wants that rod for then.
Gonna be my new frog rod. My medium heavy rods aren't quite stiff enough to my liking when fishing it.

Im using a MH veritas for frogging and it does the job nicley. You get a little more distance out the MH with 65 Braid it has more than enough power for buzz frogs or hollow bodied frogs. Im using a 7'6" though.
Im using a 6'9 mh xf carbonlite, just want a little more backbone. I have a 7'3 vendetta at its not stiff enough either. Figured the heavy veritas would be what im looking for.
Go with what you feel but I can tell you the Veritas MH fishes more like a H. They are a little more stout than a Vendetta. I also have a MH Vendetta I use for Flukes and senkos and I agree it would not be adequate for froggin. If you can get used to a litlle longer rod I would suggest the 7'6" to help with getting it out there and it will also pick up more line on hook set which is what you want when setting the hook with a frog on a long cast. That 7' H Veritas will be a broomstick and prob overkill. That would make a better punching rod (close range) JMO
Not sure if he still has it.

Thanks for the advice, ill have to checkout that 7'6 mh. Didnt know they made one.
Is this for all Academy store's? (Going out of business)
They have been doing the rod roits for a good while and as far as i know it's all Academy's that have them.
The way rods are different from different models and companies, I would try it out before you buy it. I have been buying longer rods to take the place of wanting heavier action. It seems that a longer MH is still lighter than a shorter H

Not me I was suggesting he get rid of them..lol
Yeah, they arent my favorite rods but havent really seen a major flaw in them. I got one with a gift card and another for $30 so I dont have too much invested in them. My bro in law loves his but I like my veritas and vendetta a lot better.
got a 7'6" heavy carrot stick for frogs. I hope t doesnt break. But only paid $69 for it.
