I just bought a 5.0:1 citica and I dont know what to do with it !! All of my reels are 6.0:1 , and I was thinking about buying something faster so I really have no clue on what to do with this 5.0:1 Reel !!!!! I was thinkin of using it for either slow rollin a Spinner bait , or putting it on a crank bait rod !!!!!!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif Put that 5.0 circa on a long medium rod and make it your spinerbait rig. I love to fish them as slow as I can. I will slow roll em on bottom in 10 -12 ft water even
I always thought a fast reel was good for a bait that you moved with the rod, like a worm or jerkbait, so you could pick up the slack quicker. Any bait that was moved with the line needed a slower retrive, like a crankbait or spinnerbait.

Spinner bait and crankbait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a 3.8 to 1 i use on one of my spinnerbait rods its a citica as well. I use it when i find myself fishin spinners and cranks too fast
5.0:1 slow roll spinnerbaits or crankbaits early in season.
Alot of people will jump on a good quality 5.0:1 gear ratio for under $100 quickly.

I have two 200E Citica's changed one of reels to 5.0:1 gear ratio for larger crankbaits other one 7.0:1 gear ratio for rattletraps or stuff like that. Cheaper than buying Curado off ebay in those gear ratio's.
Crankbait.....I had a 5.0.2 Curado got rid of it.....I use a Citica 6.2.1 for crank bait and a Caenaen for spinnerbait...6.4.1 i believe for it and all my others are 7.0.1 Curado 200E7

Gun was wanting the ones i swapped out before i ordered my new ones. Besides I am training gun not that he's very trainable(kind of like teachin a rock to float) . And you got more money than god but too cheap to spend it. Gun got 4 little kids to take care of.

Heck NO I was crazy enough to buy a bullet once But i also get passed those week moments of stupidity WILL YOU! Only took me about 5 or 6 weeks to get smart and unload that boat. About 2 or 3 trips across lake borgne and it was gone.
