Heartland Warriors Benefit Bass Tournament ( Milford Lake )

Hello all. Wanted to get the flyer out to you guys for the Benefit Tournament our club will be hosting in conjunction with Veteran Outdoors. This will be a 60% payback tournament with $1,000.00 guaranteed First place prize money. Event date is October 9, 2010 at Milford Lake and the event will be taped to be aired at a later date on FSN. The Veteran outdoors crew will be taping on the water footage as well as the weigh-in.
Veteran Outdoors for those of you that don't know a whole lot about is a non-profit organization that takes our Wounded Soldiers on hunting and fishing trips of a lifetime. We are aware of the Fishing For Freedom event at Truman on the same weekend and unfortunately this was the only weekend it would work out. We don't want to take anything away from Leavenworth Bass Clubs great event. Thus the reason for holding the event where we did.

Just picked up a dozen dakotas mallard floaters, flocked heads yea. however, if the season isn't open yet, here or the early zone, count me in.

no love from my fellow waterfowl hunters. I have faith, or should I say false hope, that the season will start early this year! I already have the bug pretty bad. Startin to work the dog daily and charging batteries....

Jason, great event..... thank you and the Olathe Club for your efforts. Hopefully we can get together and deconflict dates next year because I know alot of the F3 volunteers would love to support this event.

Hey Folks Im Wes Higgins Host of Veteran Outdoors.

Just wanted to drop a line and say thanks from the VO team to everyone that has put in so much hard work in to getting this Turny off the ground. I know the Guys (VETS) are going to have a great time and so will everyone that comes out. VO has done a few of these type of Turnys in the past and they are always a great time.
Looks like I along with some of the VO Pro Staff will be up sometime the day of the 7th or 8th to help out anyway we can and to do a little filming for the TV show. Its going to be good to be back in KS. I have not been back up to that way in the past 6 years thats when I left FT Riley just after coming home from Iraq. Boy I miss that country it sure is pretty up that way. Anyway we will see ya'll then. Hey if you have time jump on our web page and see what we are all about.

Can't wait to get on Milford in the fall!!! 1st time fishing it was at the Ahearn Tourney in May, awesome lake!!! Hopefully it will be as calm Oct 9th as it was for the Ahearn this year........I know I know........I can still hope!!!

We are excited to share the day on the water with them as some of the Veterans don't, or have never been fishing or fished a tournament. Jason, I will pass the recommendation on to hold the event on Sunday as we will accept any and all positive or negative feedback to make this event a success.
The Veterans will be in boats 1 - 10 and every entry thereafter will be assigned their number in the order their entry was received. We will be accepting entries by cash payment at the ramp Saturday morning at 5:00. For the first 50 boats
2 T-Shirts will be included. Additional Shirts may be purchased for $20.00. Be sure to purchase Raffle Tickets for the chance of winning many great prizes. Raffle Tickets will be available for purchase starting at 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning and will be able to be purchased up until Raffle Numbers are called off after the weigh-in. There will be a live auction for some larger priced items as well. We will be serving Pulled Pork Sandwiches with Chips and a Soda for a cash donation. Any further questions please feel free to ask.
