........what about a winter get-together at Dale Hollow? I know it's early but I can't wait to go after those cold water smallies! Just got another float n' fly rod in. I was thinking maybe late December or early January depending on the water temp. Maybe we could find some of our Tn brothers to come too. Just a thought. Mike, I think that would be fine. I'm just looking to have some fun and get together. We will need to take pics in the boat since lots of the fish are 20". Maybe someone will get one over 21 to bring to the ramp. Between now and then we can find a good place to meet and eat breakfast like we did at Cumberland.

Guys, on the way back home I swung by Dale and it sure is beautiful this time of the year. Shoot, it is anytime of the year. I'm scoping out some new winter outerwear for the cold weather. I tuned up my float n' fly reels today and put a bid in on another rod on Ebay. I'll have 4 of em' to use. Man I can't wait for winter!

Well, I am thinking this will be a "for fun only" trip this winter. I don't think I can go to Dale when it is less than 45 degrees and not drag shiners.

I won't knock FnF, I'll just admit that I am not good at it. I'll admit that a $1.50 for a jig is cheaper than $50 worth of shiners, but there is a strong chance that a wall hanger is on the next drag.

I think we should allow guys to do what they want. If we do a big fish tourney, everyone will know what they are gettinginto before we launch. If you want to fish shiners, get them before you come to the ramp.
