Re: Tin Boat Bling (optaylor823)
That power pole is definately bling. Do you use it very often?
Re: Tin Boat Bling (Alf17020)
My motor is a jet, so I fish the rivers a lot, which makes it hard to use the power pole. I do use it some when I take the kids fishing and we are just fishing for pan fish. I bought the boat used and considered taking it off, but after seeing it would leave holes in the back of the boat I decided to keep it. and I am glad I did keep it. I am not sure it would be worth the money to replace it for me.

Re: Tin Boat Bling (Mike Daleo)
Thanks. I was really worried after I started the project because of the time it took to get the glue out, but I ma happy I got it out and got it sprayed.

Re: Tin Boat Bling (Culln5)
Dont mean to hijack but what is the power poles perpuse
Re: Tin Boat Bling (genemelow)
No problem. The PowerPole is a shallow water anchor. They run off a hydraulic pump and fold down with a rod that sticks into the bottom of the lake. Mine is only good for 6' but they have them good to 8'. Feel free to do a search on here for PowerPole and do some reading and if you can not find the information you are looking feel free to ask away.

How did you get all the glue off? Did you spray it ? What is the finsh?
Re: Tin Boat Bling (genemelow)
The floor is all aluminum. I took a grinder with a paint and rust remover paid to get all the glue off. It was more time consuming then I thought it would be, but I glad I did it. I have since had the boat out on some warm days and have no problems with it getting hot. I had Line-X out of Nashville spray it. They were glad to work with me and let me pick the color out of a book that had many colors. If you have any more questions ask away and I will be glad to answer them
Thanks for all the comments.

Re: Tin Boat Bling (saugers2)
Yea it is a 175 converted to a jet which makes it about 115 and the boat will only do 40mph, but in 6 inches of water.
