Bumble Bee project finally coming together! warning-pic heavy
I was ashamed to even take pictures of the finish when I first got it. It's coming around though. I've brought the exterior back to life witha lot of elbow grease, added carpet with trim, trolling motor, gauges, steering wheel, windshield, electronics, wheels, 3 bank charger, prop, paint and decals on the motor which btw is a modified 2.5 and a lot of other things. Here are some pics.

The wheels came from Custom Hitch from Florida. We bought a new ProCraft back in '05 that had these wheels on them and I've liked them ever since.

I saw your pictures, wow, lot of work, but what got my attention was the rod box, can you tell me how many holes are made into the locker to accept the rods, it looks as if there is twelve, maybe I am wrong. and how big are the holes, I am going to build up my lockers with something like that. right now, I just have one big hole to lay my rods into. I was told to use golf club tubes but they seem to be too small, what do you think?

Mine will hold 15 rods. I used a thick cutting board from Target and used 1 1/8" pvc flanged tailpieces for a sink drain for the rod tubes. They are only 6" long but that's how I wanted them. I will try to post pictures of both ends to give you an idea on what I done.
Re: Bumble Bee project finally coming together! warning-pic heavy (wareagle24)
is there any way you can shoot a couple of pictures (each end) of your rod box to me, I will take any suggestions My email is dgronau1@ec.rr.com thanks for the idea Dean

No problem. In fact, I will post them on here as well for others to see if they are interested.
Re: Bumble Bee project finally coming together! warning-pic heavy (wareagle24)
I used a piece of cardboard to mock up the rod holder. I then measured it out to get the maxium amount of holes on the end that the tips go in. On the end that the handles go in you can see that I cut openings to give me as much room as possible for the handles. For the top 4 spots I had to mount the flanges this way to hold the rods because there was a little storage box behind that area. Hope this helps!

I've still got a few things too add like gas shocks on all the lids and I'm going to update the electronics again before spring with Hummingbird color GPS units.

looks really good. Thanks for the rod locker pics.
Re: Bumble Bee project finally coming together! warning-pic heavy (wareagle24)
Looks good and holds alot. I want to do mine but not sure what material to use. Now i do have a question. How far does the tip of the rod go beyond the front rod holder in the box? Reason i ask is if the tip goes to far wont the eyelets of the rod become snagged and possibly break the eyelets? I'm just curious.
Thanks, Garland

I don't just grab a rod and start sliding it out because that will hang an eye sometimes. I make sure the "back" of the rod is against the tube and it slides out smoothly that way.
