Finally got the XP150 finished...except...
TE150SLCEM
Okay, big thanks go out to ChampionMan http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif , Gearcaseman http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif , and I'm sure a few others http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif . I finally got everything back together and running. Had it down at the launch yesterday, and she ran like a beauty http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif .
However, I noticed some fuel dripping, and found that the housing on the VRO pump is cracked http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/mad.gif . Here are a couple of pictures of what I found (not that it really matters):

I realize that the VRO2 pumps are not really considered "rebuildable," but the diaphragms and o-rings, and everything else look great. So my question is, is there any way to get my hands on a new housing?
I know some guys have removed the VRO2 pumps from their motors in favor of premix. Does anyone have one they'd be willing to offload cheap? I've pretty much maxed out the rebuild budget, and would love not to have to spend the money on a whole new VRO2 assembly, if I don't have to.
As always, I appreciate the knowledge and insight which is undoubtedly soon to be bestowed upon me. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif

sorry not trying to hijack but where did you get any manuals. This is the exact motor I have and was looking to see about getting some manuals
Re: Finally got the XP150 finished...except... (alwayzcocacola06)
Let me see what I have for a body. You cannot move the oiler portion but the middle part is ok!

Ken Cook Company is the only source I know of.

You'll need manual number 507757. It's a factory manual, and well worth the money. You'll also find a very helpful parts breakdown at shop.evinrude.com on the electronic parts catalog. I think it's the best parts website I've ever seen.

Your best resource, however, is definitely this board!! I broke the crankshaft in mine, and I just fired it up for the first time this weekend, thanks to ChampionMan and the other fine moderators and contributors on this board.
Good luck!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

That sounds excellent, Phil. It got the thumbs up from ChampionMan, so it must be good!! I sent you an IM.
Thanks!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
Re: Finally got the XP150 finished...except... (fishinscott)
Well, Stratos284 checked out his VRO pump, and the housing has a couple of cracks in it. Anyone else have one sitting in the scrap pile?
Thanks for checking yours out, Phil. At least you know you can throw it away now! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif

Just make sure you put oil in the fuel tank also and mark your oil tank and prime the oil side. Mark your oil tank and make sure it is pumping. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Re: Finally got the XP150 finished...except... (ChampioNman)
Appreciate the reminder http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/USA1.gif
I actually already did that before I ran it the first time. Of course, since the pump was squirtin fuel, I didn't get to run it long enough for the oil level to drop.
Hopin for a break in the storms this weekend to run it again http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/cold1.gif
I'll let you know how it goes.

Here's a picture of her running at about 3000 RPM (45 MPH). Only about 9 more hours of break-in time to go!!!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Looks like I'll be able to fish my favorite part of the year http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/cold1.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/mug1.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/cold1.gif
4-5 lb smallmouth 50' deep, and the lake all to myself. That's my idea of heaven!!!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
Thanks a million, Fred!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Santa1.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Hmmmm, 3000 rpm (45 mph) and 4-5 lb smallmouth @50' deep lake?
Mighty deep lake and very fast boat. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
Re: Finally got the XP150 finished...except... (DoferGofer)
Yeah Melvin, I was out running laps for 2-1/2 hours today. With cool fall air, 1/2 full fuel tanks, empty livewells, and no fishing gear on board, I hit 70 MPH twice on the GPS http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif. I only bumped it up to full power a couple of times. She's usually running in the mid-60's when loaded for fishing http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/glasses.gif
It gets kinda boring (and cold http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/cold1.gif ) running in circles, but I'm willing to follow the break-in procedure to the letter, after all the work I've done!!!
