I was just curious as to whats currently happnin, i can't catch a fish on that lake no way. It's just a bar b q that includes boats and and some fishin for me.

I say we do a 3 fish limit for the Rally n make the playing feild more even for everyone since this is the home lake for so many n so many live only abt an hour to an hour n half away.....

Fish are biting best on surface and sub-surface lures.
Those aerial lures aint cuttin it and the sub-terranian ones arent eliciting strikes either.

Took some clients out Wednesday that were prefishing for the PBOI. We had an 8 1/2, 7 1/2 and 4 1/2 for our 3 largest fish. We had several 2 to 2 1/2 pound "unders" also. We probably caught 18 fish total and my clients kept coming back with 1/2 of a worm after missing several good hits. We were mainly Carlonia rigging our F5 on off shore structure. The fish had been on a great crankbait bite in 4' depths, with us catching several 9 and 10 pounders on it. But, the massive traffic on the lake moved them back off shore. I'm not sure, but I think the PBOI had around 300 boats on it. The tournament is Friday and Saturday. My son and I had 32 lbs on our best five last Saturday, I think we peaked too early!! Probably won't get a single "tick" for the rally.
I was pretty proud of him, he caught a 7.25 and all I did was get the net. He's starting to show some real interest......finally!!!

He's 8th grade, he's really beginning to notice the girls. I figure I have a fishing buddy until he starts driving.......... Of course we were supposed to go tomorrow, which would be a big help in the wind unloading and loading (He loads and unloads the boat in all kinds of wind) but a friend is having a birhtday party which turned into spending the night. Dad's out in the cold on that one.
