Wonder where man made brush piles fit into his scheme of things.
I have not fished a tournament in 23 years but I remember something in the rules saying in a grey area situation , the spirit of the rule will prevail. I don't know if that is still used in todays tournaments.
Good question about brush piles.
Many rules state you have to abbey state laws and regulations thus this would be illegal
But you can bet there is some out there looking to dig a hole tomorrow
I like Todd and some of his videos, but this one went in circles. I swear sometimes he just sets the timer at twenty minutes and rambles till he hits the time
I like his channel but sometimes it gets hard to listen to when he starts saying “Right” every 4th word. Helluva fisherman.
I can't watch them.. I think he must have ADD.
Can’t watch/listen to this guy. He talks in spider web circles. Not sure how anyone does.
Ole boy needs some bullet points and an outline.
Be nice if BASS and MLF just rewrote rules and made them more black and white. You would think by now after 50 years they would have about everything covered.
Holy hades man, LAND YOUR PLANE!!!!!
I think the youtube payout structure must really improve after certain times, I can't imagine is a coincidence some many videos end right at 10 minutes / 20 minutes / 45 minutes etc. Noticed the same with the BBC banned "team marine videos". He has about 5 minutes of actual content and then tries to stretch it out to 20 minutes every time.
I think they have to be 10 minutes to have ads/be monetized. I know one youtuber put a slideshow of capybaras at the end of his 9 minute long video to make it 10 minutes. I may be wrong
He can fish but he’s hard to listen to. Wish someone will tell him that.
Wow. I watched it. He sure can talk.
What if......................
What if.................................
I'm just saying...............................
What if.............................................
This would have been a good time for a big Yada, Yada and some background elevator music.
After reading the commentary I will skip watching Todd's video.
Amazing how many complain about his presentation and ignore the point of the video. I feel he made some valid points.
Please list his points made. I can't watch it again.
i'm picturing him holding that selfie stick for 20 minutes.
Can't track what he's trying to say and always bail out.
He is longwinded and at times it's frustrating listening to him. The main point = You're either reading the rules so you don't break them, or you're reading the rules so you can find loopholes? I fell asleep during the video, woke up, and finished watching it..lol
I watch his videos at times but can only take them in small doses. Get to the point, it is a bass fishing opinion video not a philosophy class.
Man makes good videos. I don't always agree with his points- there are a couple in this one we probably differ on. What I do see is a bunch of ADD commentary on here.
He always goes to the "I could dig a tiny ditch out to a pond from the legal waters, stock it full of giants, and it'd be completely legal by the rules!". Ok, sure. But at the end of the day the tournament director has a ton of discretion and they can DQ for "unsportsmanlike" or whatever clause for whatever reason they feel like. A DQ doesn't necessarily have to be a black and white written in the rules thing.
Old crustydimes and the circle jerk brigade including Hellman, rickshaws, painshersack all of em love to hear themselves talk it’s quite humorous. Old crustydimes may be a good angler and is probably the best ever to turn down an elite series. And if you don’t believe me just ask him :nanner:
After looking thru some of the comments here, I'm not even going to attempt to listen.
It’s way too vague a question.
Terrible video. Talks in circles
I think his main point was, there is a distinction between rule infractions that are innocuous because they don’t offer a competitive advantage (eg, you forget to zip up your PFD or attach the kill switch), and cheating. And that there is a distinction between the guys who read the rules to follow them, and the guys who read the rules to skirt them, and that he’s in the former category. I think……
Not a very good video could have done that in half the time if he stayed on points. Right
