Ah amsoil small engine 10w-30 is what I use lol.
SAE 10W-40 all year.
I use 10w-30

Best advice I heard for lawnmower oil was just use that weird oil laying around that you can't use in your vehicles or boats anymore.Quote:

My Deere riding mower calls for 10W 30. The old Honda push mower has some old Amsoil left over. I don't recall what weight it is but the darn thing won't die.

I use M1 20w-50 air cooled motorcycle oil in my air cooled 2015 Kawasaki tractor engine. Most motorcycle oils have more zinc in them that air cooled engine need.
Use M1 10w-40 air cooled motorcycle oil Honda push engine.

Mobile 1 full synthetic 10 W 30 in my 23 HP Koler engine.
10-40 OR 15-40 in my small engines. Basically whatever I have on hand. Now the offgrid generators all get 5w-30 full synthetic. CJ
My ex mark the first year had 10/30 and used oil to the point I was complaining to dealer , he said it’s not broke in ! 2nd year same oil and bout 50 hrs I was complaining again cause I had add oil every few mowings ! He give me 3 quarts of 10/40 and new filter and said try that , it ain’t used a drop since ! I’m no expert but just factual info

My manual for the B&S engine calls for 30w oil, my season is from May to Oct, and the oil is changed at the end of the season and stored with fresh oil and run empty of stabilized gas, fresh air filter and spark plug as well.
