I think it is a great documentary and brings back a lot of great memories during that time.. Jordan is the Greatest Of My Time Hands Down!!!
I've been following it...didn't get to watch last night's episodes yet - but will this week.
I was born in '84...so I grew up watching Air Jordan...it's neat to look back and see all of things I missed as a kid
I've been watching. I recorded parts 5 and 6 last night and will watch today. Really good stuff!
It’s great for the generation that never saw Michael play. However, MJ had total control over every aspect of the production. All video shot was never to be released without his permission, he had final say on everything. So, to say it is a documentary is not true. Ken Burns makes documentaries, this is something far different.
I have watched every episodes. Things haven’t changed—— the media has always been azzholes. Last night it was good to see And hear Barkley and Ewing‘s views on those days.

Yes, been watching. I grew up in Chicago. Was a great time to be a Bulls fan during the 6 championship run!
I've watched every episode. I grew up a huge Jordan/Bulls fan so I've been looking forward to this for awhile. I'm glad we have something to watch while no other sports are happening!

Great documentary on Jordan and the Bulls. I got to see MJ play many times and he is in fact the GOAT :bows::bows:
Wife and I are watching the series. We are through the first 4 so far. We both really like the series. It is nice to have the players look back at the situation and reflect on what was going on.
I was born in 82 so I grew up watching Jordan. It's been great reliving some of it. Never knew a lot of the behind the scene stuff was going on.
Why did Kraus hate Phil Jackson so much? He tried to get rid of Phil and said 98 was his final year no matter what. Jordan and others said they would leave if Phil didn't come back. First of all as a GM how do you even think about getting rid of a coach that has won you 6 championships. Second as the owner, how do you even think about keeping a GM that is going to break apart one of the greatest dynasties that have ever been in sports? Maybe I've missed it in the documentary, but I haven't heard why Kraus and Jackson didn't get along.

dylan nailed it, end of the day Reinsdorf is calling the shots. They talked about how Phil and Reinsdoft made the agreement for that last season, not Krause and Phil...
I got a good laugh when Jordan talked about his "vacation", IE I'm gambling and got caught so in an agreement with the league I'll retire for a bit then come back with a clean slate. Then we can profit even more from jersey sales because I'll use a different number, then switch back the following season.
Watched the episodes last night....not a basketball fan, dont watch games but i though this was pretty good.....
I am loving the documentary, lots of great information about the NBA in general. It shows why and how MJ became the greatest ever. The one last night about the dream team practice with Magic and Barkley pissing Jordan off and then getting there ass beat was epic. When you are playing against the best in the world and they all walk away calling you the ALPHA ALPHA thats the GOAT. The thing about Jordan that I respect the most is the fact that he was real, not fake friendly like some other elite payers.
Whether it was Kraus or Reinsdorf, still don't understand why they needed to break the team up. I was a huge Bulls fan in the early 90's through the breakup and am convinced if they would have brought Phil back a couple more years MJ would have continued to play. Kraus had his boy from IA right, Tim Floyd to replace Phil. Sure looked like Krause wanted him gone since Phil was getting the credit for the success and not one or both of the Jerrys.Quote:

Fairly certain that Bulls fans and Sox fans hate Reinsdorf just the same. He can't keep either good for to long. Holding out hope the new crew coming in for the bulls can turn it around but with the clown still up top who knows.
Kareem was very good but he is not the goat. His UCLA teams were loaded and were some of the biggest cheaters in NCAA history. His later titles with the Lakers came when he wasn't even the best player on his team.Quote:

Watching these episodes really just shines the light on how dominant he wanted to be in every aspect of the game in order to win. Some of the best players in the league now are the biggest crybabies in sports, and defense is something they care NOTHING about. Jordan would dominate these dudes.

I've been watching it, very good. I was a Larry Bird and then Phoenix Suns fan in that time frame, I hated those Bulls teams so bad because they were so good
Bobby Knight said it all before MJ was drafted, he told Jerry to draft MJ and play him any where on the court, center, forward, guard or in the air :laugh:
MJ is with out a doubt heads above every one else including the so CALLED KING!! I have watched ever basketball game i could ever find playing, huge fan of all the Birds, Magic, Jerry West, DR J and the list goes on.

Jordan was IMO the best all around basketball player, I think Kobe has a better pure offensive game, but Kobe wasn’t as good on defense as MJ was.
That being said, If you watched MJ play in his career especially in the 90’s , the referees greatly protected him, if a defender breathed on him he went to the foul line.
