What is the best all around color for a square lip shallow di ing crank for stained water? Tenn river

I would say some version of chartruese/black back...Fading it out as it gets clearer. Something like WEC that Kevin Short uses (Classic, I think)...

Yep, I agree with steve, one with some chartruese & black will be your best bet for that situation.

I basically have 3 colors of square bill. Shad color, white color, and chartreuse color. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif i think I could get by with only shad and chartreuse all the time and have pretty much quit buying other colors. Keepin' it simple.

One never does it because there is never just one set of conditions all year on a river...since prey is the way...LCraft CB100 shad or similar...when bream are the dominate prey something with green and when crawfish are common...well, you get the picture.
Generally shad the most months of the year so that would be THE ONE...pick a brand with loud rattles although I have a WEC in chartreuse for extreme near muddy.
Bass will find a bait is its loud enough and slow enough even when water is near muddy...

I think that the best color for any stained water on any crankbait is Baby Blue Back and Chartreuse Belly.

I almost hate to admit this, but my "killer color" the past couple of years has been Strike Kings Sexy Shad or any similar color from other manufacturers. Bomber's version on a Square A was dynamite this year.

Any color-as long as it includes a dash of purple.
