Buddy Of Mine From BBC Sent Me These Pic’s, A Friend Of His Hit This Turkey. Could Have Been Killed.
You never think of Turkeys flying
Had one fly out of the bushes and clip the top of the door frame with the window open and left feathers in my truck a couple inches lower and that sucker would have been in my lap
Watch for them when you're in your boat also. A couple of times I've seen turkeys fly low over the water to cross a small cove or a river.
I’ve had several close calls on my ridge with them, but never that.
Too Funny hatcreeek.
First time I've ever seen that
Our wild turkeys fly as good as grouse. They take off loud and will fly very high to get in trees from the roadside or keep going till you can see them.
Wow, he's luckyy!
You'd have to add a pair of pants to the damage total for me.
 I am glad nobody got hurt.
Them suckers wonder thru our neighborhood like they own it.
Caught this one on my Goldwing.........

I have heard of pheasants under glass but that’s the first turkey in glass I have seen.
BTW turkeys are one of the fastest flying game birds we have in America. I believe up to 45 mph.
My next-door-neighbor's son had one do that to his Dodge Charger a few years back. Hit in the middle of the glass and its back end was torn off of it. Kid has glass shards, turkey blood, and turkey feathers all over him and the interior of the car, but he was not hurt.
I have had some close calls with turkeys flying across the road barely missing them. We have a lot of turkeys here. If you don’t think of turkeys flying, how do you think they roost in trees? Never saw one climbing a tree like a squirrel. Walking from my deer blind at dark I occasionally get a fright when they leave their roost because I disturbed them. Causes me to suddenly pick up the pace!
Down here it's the vultures you have to worry about.
Have a friend who has one fly into his window. He stopped and got out quickly, then had to figure out how to get the turkey out.
