On a podcast I was watching last night, Pete Gluszek from Bass U said that Schmitt will be running (2) 16'' Garmins and (3) 12''s on his BOW.

That seems like information overload and could be dangerous in terms of his vision while driving. I'll be curious to see the layout. That man has more in electronics on his bow than many people have tied up in their entire boat.

He's gotta be trolling, there is no way all that extra weight and battery draw would be worth it. I mean, who needs a 12" graph only for 2d when they already have livescope? And even with the saltwater and the LV34, wouldn't it be way more efficient just to switch sources on the same graph rather than run two separate ones creating a mess of interference and information overload?
Props to him if he really does run that setup and gets it to work for him.
On a side note, I do think a little regulation on this would be fine. I mean you can't run a jaguar with a 500 or a jet boat in the elites, so its not like we don't have some equipment restrictions. I have a hard time seeing how 5 giant graphs up front wont affect visibility in some way. I think 1 or 2 FFS transducers and 48" of total screen allowed in the boat would be a totally reasonable solution.
I think with the committee B.A.S.S. setup this year for tech/ffs you will see some form of limit short of a ban. I will be very surprised if a transducer limit and screen space limit aren’t introduced for 2025. My take is one live transducer per boat and two side/down/2d imaging per boat (one for front on trolling motor and one on the bow). Could sub a non live version of 360 for a down imaging one. That is if a live 360 is created which I have no doubt will happen sooner than laterQuote:

Weights don’t really seem to be that far up in tournaments (other than the SM events). Are fisheries getting worse or is FFS just changing how people fish and not the overall weights of events?
