Did Boyd Duckett try to buy BASS and was turned down ?
Only heard rumors about that. Not sure how true they are.
Yes, I am pretty sure I remember him saying it on a podcast. I don’t think it was a realistic offer - I think he offered $1 mil for BASS and got laughed out of the room.
Yes, that's the rumor. But then remembered the saying "why buy the cow when the milk is free" and took a bunch of talented anglers from BASS. Some never to return.
Interesting, I wonder what BASS is valued at? I'm sure quite a bit more than a million.
