I thought thats what Bret was for!! Good pic by the way... http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
512, I'm thinking about trying it out again thursday evening. I'll probably go about the same time i went last week, around 5 or so, so if your interested, give me a shout. Wouldn't mind meeting you as well http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
oh, and when you see Jack at work, tell him to do something, anything other than just sit there and make piles of money. He's already made his million, it's somebody elses turn http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif

I am glad to see I'm not the only one who knows Jack is loaded. I tell him all the time. For sure I will try and make it thurs. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
I got out yesterday evening around 5 after all the rain, put in at Clyo, water was a good bit higher around 5-6 feet. A buddy of mine,,,mainly a saltwater fisherman, caught a 5 pounder on his 3rd cast on a crankbait and nothing but a few dink bites the rest of evening. Thought we were going to be on them but maybe all the rain messed them up. Water was muddy compared to last week.
Lee and Billy remember to put me in on Thursday cause I will not be there. Thanks.
Glen those fish caught last week were bedding fish and right before the full moon. The biggest one was loaded with rowe and the other two, believe it or not, were big males and ready to bust.. Makes ya kinda wonder if they don't bed at random almost year round. Surely doesn't seem normal, but neither does the weather or river stages we've had for the past couple of years..
anyone ever fished around 301 bridge have a tournament there in two weeks
I have fished out of 301 but only in the early spring so I couldn't tell you about this time of year. There are some nice lakes up there both up and down, and as always the main river looks great everywhere.
Bedding in 80 degree water?? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif What you drinkin man? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif I would love to do some sight fishing in July,,Did you actually see a bed and have you ever seen a bed in the river?
I saw a bed in the river once! Well actually it was just the mattress http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif Guess someone didn't know where the landfill was http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/mad.gif

Todd you seem to be a cool level headed guy, but I think you been hitting the sugar fumes WAAAYY TOO much!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
well that's what it looked like anyway. Like I said, anything can happen.....hell, it snows at Billy's house. What does that tell ya. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif
http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
Well, I should have known better than to try and fish this week. From the looks of the river, July 4th must have been some kind of busy...... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
Me or Glenn can post how our club does today. a little light on the turnout with only 9 boats fishing... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
Today was one of the worst days on the river for everyone. There were no big fish anywhere,,,well I did hook one in the 5-7lb range but it was under a tree and decided to stay there. I think around 6-7 pounds won our tournament. There was also team tournament out of Stokes and somewhere around 7-8 pounds won it so it was tough everywhere. Lots of short fish were caught in tidewater but not many limits were brought to the scales.
Now that is the Savannah river I know and love!!! 6-9 lbs http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif Way too many reports this year with 20 + lbs. glad to see the river is acting more like the Mobile Delta
No doubt the river kicked our buts out there. I could have caught more, but I wasted too much time looking for bedding fish... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
Hows hell, err I mean Alabama?? http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
you goofball http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif j/k, how bout the river?? Was it still muddy????
Billy Southern Alabama has got to be one of the hottest/most humid places I have lived so far and that includes OK, south Fla., Cali and savannah. I think the fish are even sweating here. Water temps in some of the creeks here are hovering aroun 91-92, the main rivers are a cool 86. Other then that things are going well here.
Todd I can only guess the rain is keeping the river muddy. It was still muddy yesterday when I went over into SC. Goof ball IS pretty accurate, too.
Jay - I feel for ya. The only place I can say I would rather not be, is Alabam...wait, nevermind. Thats where you are.... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif
Just thought everybody would like to see what we caught at lake Russell.

Me and Billy didn't catch alot but we had a blast. Oh well there is always next time. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif
That ain't bad bud. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif Glad to hear ya'll had a good time. Lake Russell is 1 lake that I just can't seem to figure out. It's something different everytime. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif
What about Santee? Have any of ya'll been lately? Thought about taking my boyz there for a weekend before they have to go back to school. Probably stay at blacks.
http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
2 of our guys went there last weekend. No one had much luck. One caught 3 little ones and the other one caught 1 keeper in 2 days.. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/crying.gif Pretty sad...
I don't have enough time to learn that lake. I think Russell is much easier to fish. Now Oconee - that place kicks my butt!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif
Did we mention Lee had big fish Sunday at Russell!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
That ain't good. I may just have to shift gears and go back to the hill....thats about the only lake I can make things (most of the time)happen. Not always big fish but atleast I can keep those kids busy.
Thanks for the info http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
I did see 4 or 5 boats heading to Hullihan Bridge yesterday when I left the plant around 630 or so. Somebody must be doing a little something there.....
http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif
i always do good at russell it just takes alot of practice to learn that lake. won a club tournament there last month. my partner come in second. we fished the tree tops with a finess worm pegged with a 1/8 oz sinker. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/pimp2.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/pimp2.gif
still need some good tips on fishing the savannah river around 301 bridge. fished there tues. and only caught one fish and it was bearly a pound. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/pimp2.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/pimp2.gif
skeet - I asked for a little help on Russell and you never replied... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif
Actually im'd you... As far as the river goes just keep throwing a t-rigged 10 red shad worm into the current. A big one will bite eventually!! http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
i never got your message about russell. thanks for the info on the river. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/pimp2.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/pimp2.gif
any one catching fish in the tidewater? went to abacorn landing friday. no luck http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthdown.gif http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthdown.gif
We are all friends here!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif As far as throwing the 10" t-rig, I was serious. When all else fails in the Savannah River, throw a big worm in the current above laydowns and let them drift into or under logs. If you didn't get the Russell message, its no big deal. I was kidding. If you can't take a joke... well thats a personal issue.
Astro - not sure if you fish tidewater a whole lot and if you are very familiar with that part of the river. My best luck is fishing the last 2-3 hours of outgoing tide. Before or after that depending on the tide, I fish upriver. Tidewater is infamous as being hot one day and not the next. Typically when on its a quantity thing and not quality. Typically you can catch 15 - 20 8" - 12" fish and MAYBE 2 or 3 over a pound. Thats tidewater. Last tx we had there was 3 weeks ago now and I caught a small limit in the main river on a t-rig worm and crankbait. Had to go through alot of little fish to get 5. Good luck and be careful as there are sandbars and stumps not visible in many places of tidewater, including in the middle of Abercorn Creek... http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif
Easy there BIG fella! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Easy on what?? Am I giving out too much info on the river?? Guys for $10 I will tell ya where 512s secret holes are and his secret bait!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/stirthepot.gif
http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif

billy i was not tryin to be a smart @#@$ like astroglide said. i messed up when i was tryin to set up my profile. astro as for the river fish back river with a shad rap. u will catch stripers and some good bass. fish knoxboro creek with a bubble gum trick worm on the outgoin tide and also fish a black and red glitter worm or baby bush hog on a texas rig.
